We are selling online again!

In Conversation with FLWR

Since we launched our chocolate range in 2017, we have often dreamt of partnering with a flower service so that shoppers could buy a bar of chocolate alongside a beautiful bouquet. Often when you buy a loved one a bunch of doorstep flowers, you want to add something a little extra - chocolates are the perfect gift in this situation. This isn't a new concept of course but stylish floral delivery companies are hard to come by!

FLWR are a floral studio delivering bouquets across London. That's sad for the rest of the country but we are thrilled to be in the hands of so many front door surprises.

Founded by Liz Parker and Josh Murray-Webster, FLWR is a sister company to EP Studios, a creative company for window displays, bespoke installations, interiors and placemaking, to name a few. Previously a florist, Liz saw an opportunity to keep her staff in jobs, retain her creative output and contribute to a charity close to her, 'The New Normal Charity', connecting young adults to help and support one another through life’s difficult moments.

Picking the best seasonal flowers from the Netherlands and the UK every week, these bouquets are long lasting and absolutely stunning - I've received one to vouch for it!

What does a typical day look like for you?

No two days are the same running two companies, although now we have FLWR it has given us a morning routine at least! We wake around 5, hop in the shower, pop the radio on and bring the flowers in, which have arrived from the Netherlands around 4:30, to condition and get them in buckets.  We get our coffee order in at Corto, an Italian Deli which does the most amazing pistachio cannoli, one double espresso and one single macchiato and then go through our to do lists.  Depending on what projects we have that day you'll either find us at our workshop where Josh will be building set whilst Liz tackles the influx of emails, production and creative that needs to be done. Or you'll find Liz in the courtyard making up arrangements to be sent out across London for mailers or commissioned pieces whilst Josh photographs each piece for content for our Instagram. In "normal times" we would be out on numerous site visits and client meetings but now this has all moved to Zoom and this is probably the part of the job we miss the most! When we get a moment you'll find us scrolling Instagram, magazines and the FT (we only read it for the pink paper!) to try and find trends and inspiration for our next installations.  We finish around 7:30, and usually have dinner late.

Where’s your dream escape destination?

Italy, anywhere. The food, the views and the weather where can you go wrong?!

What’s your vice?

Josh - Whiskey, coffee and needless tools.

Liz - The phrase "One for the road"

Just do it!
